Naomi Miller - Touching Your Heart with Music

No, Naomi Miller still hasn’t had the liposuction!  She doesn’t even bemoan the fact that no sooner does she lose a few pounds, a few more appear.  She just sings about it instead!  And that is just what she does with the other ups and downs of life as well.  Her critically acclaimed cabaret act takes on all the topics of its title and more-with songs about dating, falling in love, escaping the slums, raising a deaf child, being part of the sandwich generation, letting go, and all the while working toward a dream.

This engagingly original, one woman show which brought Naomi a nomination from the Manhattan Association of Cabarets, weaves stories and songs (some original and many from the Broadway stage) that invites the audience to become a part of the show as they reminisce about their own life’s joys, challenges, adventures and goals.

The chairperson of Hadassah’s anniversary party said, "Naomi’s outstanding presentation of  'Love, Marriage, Children and Liposuction' was witty, charming and original and something we could all relate to.”

“Said Jan Wallman in Applause!  Applause!:  "This ebullient entertainer, Naomi Miller is such a good singer and raconteur and warm cabaret personality.... And she's touching and funny and heartwarming when she speaks of family life.... The sold out house...had a great time and showed their enthusiasm whooping and applauding long and hard.  Naomi Miller has been singing all her life and singing is as natural and as communicative to her as her smile. *** I heartily recommend her show.  You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll enjoy."

“Naomi’s act is divinely structured and her performance was warm, witty, charming – totally delightful. Naomi certainly has a marvelous gift.”  Kristine Niven, Director, Artistic New Directions t

"Thank you so much for your marvelous performance of Love, Marriage, Children & Liposuction!  The title alone is a promise of joy and oh my! - you certainly provided an ample supply of joy!  You have a great gift, a wonderful talent for creating a moving and touching and funny and poignant piece.  As it that was not sufficient, you then perform that piece with such infectious enthusiasm, and such finely honed singing and acting skill - plus you have that rare attribute that can neither be taught nor learned - charisma! and taht wonderful warmth that endears you to an audience instantly - and they stay endeared until the last note is sung!"  Thea White, Livingston Public Libraryext.
"What a pleasure it was having you return to the Fort Lee Library to perform your show 'Love, Marriage, Children & Lipsosuction.'  Your cabaret-style program delighted the audience, many of whom commented on how they related to your story.  One patron expressed that the performance 'took her back' and she became teary-eyed.  The interjection of personal history mixed with song create a magnificent production that truly speaks from the soul.  Your ability to make the audience fall in love with you shines throughout the well orchestrated act.  Looking forward to your return!"  Olga Kuharets, Program Coordinator

“Naomi Miller’s Love, Marriage, Children and Liposuction was sensational. A sold out house that had a laugh out loud good time. Her stories and songs were both fun and heartfelt. “
